Hayes River Lodge RipOFF
I Would like to inform everyone out there that Hayes River Lodge in Wasilla Alaska will steal your money and not take you on the trips advertised. They just ripped off four of us and will not give us our money back. They also left four others at the Anchorage Airport and told them that they had cancelled their trip and didn't tell them before they had already arrived in Anchorage. I will get my money back.. They are being investigated by the Alaska Game and Fish, The Alaska Troopers and the Attorney Generals Office (consumer Protection Agency) for fraud. Do not give them your money.

ReplyDeleteAs a owner of Hayes River Lodge when I spoke with you this afternoon you decided not to come this year due to poor King Salmon run we have offered to rebook you for later this summer or give you lodge credit for next summer below I have copied our NO REFUND with in 60 days policy.
We require a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation at Hayes River
Lodge. Balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival at the lodge.
Reservations made within 60 days of travel require full payment at
time of booking. Additionally, we are not responsible or liable for any
cancellations, expenses or delays incurred as a result of conditions
over which we have no control.
we reserve the right to withdraw and/or cancel any excursion offered
at any time and make changes and
alterations in itinerary as may be found necessary for safety.
Refunds will not be given for any reason.
Here is
a short explanation of why we must enforce this policy. After you
have made a reservation and sent us your
deposit we can no longer market that date. We turn away numerous
parties every year because we
are fully booked. When we turn these parties away they go to other
Lodge's and make alternate vacation
arrangements and may never try our services. If you cancel your
trip, we have lost the opportunity to sell this
to any of these other parties. We understand this is a vacation for
you, but please understand that
we depend on the revenue earned from this short season for our
livelihood.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Staff gratuities, fishing licenses, and hotel or food expenses while in
Anchorage in the event of any delay, getting to the lodge. If you get
weathered in at Hayes River Lodge, your lodging and meals are on
us. We can not be responsible for missed connections in Anchorage
do to delays. Please check with your travel agent for trip insurance.
This guy is a scam artist. He ripped us off, too. Lawsuits and criminal charges on the way. I hope you and your wife enjoy prison.
